General Discussion / Re: Minor Lateral Meniscus tear
« on: May 14, 2015, 08:32:09 PM »
I would like to say yes, but there is really no way to know for sure.  It will be a sensitive part on your body for a long time.  You have to be careful going forward.  You do not want to go through the whole healing process to ultimately re injure the area.
When you get back into activity, do a BFST treatment before playing and then ColdCure immediately after.  This will help warm up the area to help prevent against over straining and the cold right away will help prevent inflammation from building up.

The body does have an amazing ability to heal itself and as long as it is not a full tear you have a good chance of healing.  The healing and recovery times vary from person to person depending on your day to day activity and commitment to the treatment.  Either way, we are confident you will see improvements within a couple weeks.

With being a cook, it is probably a good idea to wear the wrap to help prevent over straining while working.  Being on your feet all day and the twisting and turning you do can be hard on the knee.  Even if you didn't want to wear the Cold packs while working, you can wear the wrap only or consider our support tape as well.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Treatment Questions / Re: Cold Cure
« on: May 14, 2015, 05:50:13 PM »
If you are using the ColdCure from the refrigerator, it is safe to treat as many times as you want throughout the day to get and keep inflammation down.
Please keep in mind that cold therapy does slow down the blood flow, so you want to ensure you are taking breaks in between to and not doing cold treatments non stop.  By keeping the inflammation down that enables your blood to flow through more freely, helping to heal and repair the soft tissues.
Good luck in your treatments and let us know if you have any further questions.

Treatment Questions / Re: Pain in Shoulder and Neck
« on: April 21, 2015, 01:50:49 PM »
Tasha,
Thank you so much for your interest in King Brand.  We currently do not have a product specifically for the neck however, that is something that is in development.  We have had many customers in the past want to treat their neck and have bought different wraps such as the back, shoulder or wrist wraps to target the area.   We have taken this feedback from our customers and have developed two new shoulder wraps which will be available for sale very soon.

There are two types, top shoulder and side shoulder.  The advantage of these wraps is the new unique design so the target area is more manoeuvrable and you would be able to treat closer to your neck and down your shoulder.    I am sure the top shoulder wrap will target the right area for you.  These wraps will also include three accessory straps to customize the fit that best suits you.

Please keep an eye on our web site for these new products or feel free to contact us directly for more information.  Our number is 1-844-400-2525

Regards,
Ashley

General Discussion / Re: Insertional Achilles Tendonitis
« on: March 09, 2015, 12:03:51 PM »
Steph,
The difference between insertional Achilles tendonitis and Achilles tendonitis is the location.  Insertional is where the Achilles tendon meets the heel and Achilles tendonitis is where it effects the rest of the tendon that runs up the back of the ankle and leg.
Tendonitis is the inflammation of the tendons.  You want to treat with Cold therapy to get inflammation down to enable your blood to flow through more freely.  You want to get the product that targets the right area.  The BFST stimulates the blood flow to help heal the damaged tissues and help prevent re-injury and inflammation from building up.
Consumer grade heating pads don't heal soft tissue injuries. BFST® Wraps do. Heating pads are far surpassed by BFST® Wraps in terms of therapeutic benefits. Heating pads heat the surface of the skin, bringing blood to the surface. Heating the surface of the skin does nothing to heal the damaged tissue below the dermal (fat & skin) layer. BFST® penetrates deep below the skin to stimulate blood flow in the area of injury, creating an ideal environment for healing. The difference is significant.
I hope this information helps.
Let us know if you have any further questions.

Hello Steph,

I understand how it can become confusing with all of the information out there today! Based on your diagnoses, I would be recommending the combination of treatments from our Achilles ColdCure Foot Wrap and our Achilles BFST Foot Wrap. The primary focus is to get the inflammation under control with your the ColdCure therapy to the point that you can stop taking your pills to relieve the pain. Once that is complete, we would be introducing the BFST therapy to stimulate and optimize the blood flow to the injury and all of the surrounding tissues & cells.

Physio, Splints & Pain Relievers are all alternatives to healing that you can surly explore. Our products are designed to offer you the natural support & healing in the least intrusive ways. Most times our clients notice significant change and healing in the first three weeks of using the products and are able to transition into their normal activities again easier.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us here at the office.
Kind Regards

Treatment Questions / Re: Night splints
« on: March 06, 2015, 08:20:00 AM »
Hi Debbie,
Thank you for your posting and questions.  I believe I spoke with you yesterday when I called you for a follow up.  To recap what we talked about, No, it is not too late for cold therapy.  Inflammation can build up just from your day to day of walking around.  You want to treat with cold to get the inflammation addressed to enable the blood to flow through more freely.  Once the inflammation is down, we recommend 3-5 treatments a day with the BFST for 20 minutes.  After each BFST treatment, the blood flow is stimulated for a good 3-4 hours after.  This stimulation will bring the good, nutrient rich blood to the damaged tissue area to help heal and repair.
With you being an active person, when you are feeling better and more active again, we recommend BFST before activity and ColdCure after.  This acts as preventative maintenance to help ensure that you don't get another flare up.
It was nice talking to you and I hope all this information helps.  If you have any further questions regarding your treatment, please do not hesitate to contact us through the forum or directly on the phone.

Treatment Questions / Re: Night splints
« on: January 27, 2015, 05:55:25 PM »
Thank you for your question,

Sorry you are in so much pain.  We generally do not like to go against a Doctors recommendation, but if it hurts and causing more pain, you should discontinue what your doing. When treating Plantar Fasciitis, you should avoid stretching the plantar muscle, which night splints generally do.
Our recommendation would be to start with ColdCure wraps to get the inflammation decreased to enable the blood to flow through to create the ideal healing environment for the foot. Then start with 3-5 BFST treatments daily, trying to focus them before activity or work, and making sure you do one treatment before bedtime and once when you wake up.  A twenty minute treatment will allow for 4+ hours of stimulated blood flow, allowing the healing process to continue into your sleep. After a few treatments you will feel a noticeable difference upon wake up each day.  Continue with ColdCure when needed.
