Questions & Answers About Our Products / Re: Coldcure wrist wrap
« on: June 13, 2017, 11:53:27 AM »
Please see attached image for a suggestion on how to wrap your wrist to target your thumb.  Many of our customers do use it for the thumb with success and I think what is important to understand is to do what works for you.  Ensure the cold is targeted to the area of pain and use the wrap to hold in place as spot needed.   I hope this image helps and please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Treatment Questions / Re: Foot Extensor Tendonitis

Thank you for your interest in King Brand.

You are correct, the foot wrap focuses on the bottom.  For the toe area we would recommend the wrist wrap.  It is designed to be able to wrap around and velcro attaches one end to the other.  I have included a link to the wrist pages for you to look at.  The products are the same, just shaped differently to fit different parts of the body.

Questions & Answers About Our Company / Re: carpal tunnel surgery
« on: April 12, 2017, 11:11:51 AM »
Thank you for your enquiry.   The wraps focus on decreasing the inflammation with the ColdCure wrap and then by using the BFST wrap, it will promote blood flow through the Carpal Tunnel to help heal and repair.  The BFST uses Electro-magnetic energy to penetrate deep with in...similar to ultra sound therapy... to bring nutrient rich blood flow through the targeted area.

If you just had surgery, I would recommend staying with the ColdCure for a few days to even a couple weeks depending on your pain and swelling.  You do not want to promote blood flow to an area that is inflamed.  Once your pain level has decreased you routinely use the BFST to keep optimal circulation.  I have attached a few links to specific pages on our site relevant to carpal tunnel and instructions.

Treatment Questions / Re: wrist injury

That would be something to discuss with your doctor.  The BFST wrap promotes blood flow which a lot of exercises also promote but the BFST will increase the circulation without causing additional strain.
It is a good treatment to incorporate with your Physical Therapy, ensure you do your BFST before activity and ColdCure after.

Treatment slightly varies from person to person, but generally:
Start with just the ColdCure, multiple times a day for 20 minutes at a time.  After a few days, when you notice a decrease in your level of pain, you can incorporate the BFST.
Level 1 to start, 3-4 times a day for 20 minutes.  Go back to Cold anytime you are in more pain.
I have included links to some more detailed instructions that may help.  Keep in mind, ColdCure when in pain and BFST routinely when feeling generally ok.

The Back/Hip wrap does not cover both hips at the same time.  We do not have a wrap to do this.  You would have to treat one side then the other.

With the ColdCure, as you have three gel packs, feel free to use 2 gel packs at the same time.  One gel will be in the mesh pocket on one hip and a second gel will be held in place just by the wrap on the other side.

I hope this suggestion helps.  Please contact us any time if you have any further questions.

All the best.

Treatment Questions / Re: Tensor Fascia Latae pain
« on: February 14, 2017, 03:22:46 PM »
Thank you for your interest in King Brand.  I hope by using the BFST it will give you some relief.  By bringing blood flow through the area, it can only help.  It may not make the pain go away 100% but it may manage your day to day much better.  You can also benefit a lot from adding Cold therapy into your day.  Keeping the inflammation down is key in helping the good blood flow through as well.

I hope you will be able to decrease the pain medication by using the BFST routinely.  Please do not use the BFST if you have had cortisone within the last 4-6 weeks as it can affect your blood pressure.  Also discontinue if you feel added discomfort from using it.  Read instructions thoroughly and work your way slowly through the levels of intensity.  It is a matter of conditioning your hip to get used to the stimulated circulation.

Please let us know if you have any questions along the way.   In your case I am not sure if anything will get fixed or fully healed, but as mentioned before, it will hopefully manage the pain.

All the best
Ashley

Questions & Answers About Our Products / Re: Product sizes
« on: February 05, 2017, 04:05:13 PM »
Both the ColdCure and BFST knee wraps are open wraps adjustable by 2 velcro straps.  They can fit up to 26 inches around.  They are made of neoprene so there is slight stretch to them as well.

If you need larger than that, you can purchase accessory straps from the shop that will add an additional 8-9 inches.

I hope this information helps, please let us know if you have any further questions.

Treatment Questions / Re: BFST Question for Plantar Fasciitis
« on: January 13, 2017, 04:15:04 PM »
No, you do not have to remove your sock.  The treatment will still be effective with it on.  Please note if you are wearing very thick socks, that will decrease the effectiveness.

Please let us know if you have any further questions and we wish you all the best with your treatment going forward.

Treatment Questions / Re: extensor carpi ulnaris tendonitis

When starting to use your BFST:
1. Watch your timing - If you do cold, wait at least 45 minutes before starting BFST treatment.  After a 20 minute BFST treatment the blood flow is stimulated for at least 3-4 hours after so do not do any cold within that time frame. http://kingbrand.com/Combination-Therapy.php?REF=34PV141.279
2. Routine - You will see the best results the more routinely you use the products. 3-5 times a day, spread throughout your day.
3. Conditioning - Work your way slowly through the levels.  You will not heal any quicker if you jump to level 3 immediately.  You have to condition your body to get used to the stimulated blood flow. http://kingbrand.com/BFST_Instructions.php?REF=34PV15.279

I hope this information helps, please feel free to contact us again for any other questions.

Treatment Questions / Re: haglund's deformity
« on: December 13, 2016, 02:38:27 PM »
Wayne,
In terms of the treatment area of both the BFST and ColdCure wraps for the foot, they both go slightly up the heal.  If you find that they are not reaching the area needed, the Achilles may be the way to go.  Please note that the achilles wraps have a cut out at the heal to enable the wrap to confirm around the achilles.  If you find the area needed  is higher than the treatment are=a of the foot than the achilles should target better.
From what I know, Haglunds can cause bursitis in which the ColdCure would be very beneficial.  Then by using the BFST routinely, this should help prevent the inflammation from building up too much and manage the injury.
I hope this helps, please let us know if you have any further questions.

Ashley

Treatment Questions / Re: Follow up MRI
« on: December 10, 2016, 12:55:25 PM »
TexasT89,
It was nice speaking with you earlier today and hope our conversation helped clear some things up.

For others reading this, it should be made clear that in no way will you be healed from a meniscus tear within such a small time frame.  However, by using the BFST routinely, keeping inflammation down and not over straining the knee, there is no reason why you would not start to see improvements in the 4 week time frame.  It is a discussion to be had with your Doctor whether you need surgery or not and what you can do to help manage it in the meantime.

I can assure everyone we are FDA and Health Canada approved.  We claim our product promotes blood flow and improves circulation.  This in turn does help heal soft tissue injuries and ailments.  While your Doctor may not be aware of our product specifically, blood flow stimulation is a widely recommended form of treatment.

I wish you all the best going forward and please feel free to call again if you have any further questions.

General Discussion / Re: ColdCure wrap vs basic cold wrap
« on: November 09, 2016, 12:57:43 PM »
Thank you for your interest in King Brand and sorry to hear about your elbow.

The Basics wrap is a sleeve style elastic wrap with the gel pack sewn within.  When you need to get it cold, the whole wrap has to go in the fridge or freezer.
The ColdCure comes with an open wrap, adjustable by Velcro and 3 separate gel packs.  You can rotate the gels out and always have a cold one ready when the one in the wrap loses its cold.
Both are one size fits all and side interchangeable.

The most common is the ColdCure as you get the extra gel packs and you can make it as tight or as loose as needed.

I hope this information helps, please let us know if you have any further questions regarding our products.
King Regards,
Ashley
