Hi Uwalker,

We recommend using the BFST in 20 minute sessions 3-5 times per day; Ideally the BFST should be used every 3-4 hours, as a 20 minute session increases circulation to the targeted area for upwards of 4 hours. The BFST has an automatic timer which shuts itself off after 20 minutes, while it is completely safe to do treatments back to back we recommend shorter sessions spread out to have a constant stimulation of nutrient and oxygen rich blood.

The ColdCure removes circulation constricting inflammation and should be used typically for a couple days before using the BFST and subsequently after any aggravation that may occur during the healing process. The ColdCure therefore is a reactionary tool to be used to get and keep inflammation down.

With regards to your Son’s physical therapy and sports activities, the BFST will be beneficial if used before any physical activity as it increases elasticity with the increase in circulation; this helps to avoid aggravations as well prevent any potential future injuries. As discussed earlier if your Son does experience any aggravations during his activities than he will want to use the ColdCure as soon as possible to prevent or remove any inflammation and/or swelling.

Both products come with instructions, you will also find instructions within your parcel on how to most effectively use the two products together, however if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask!

Treatment Questions / Re: pain between thumb and index finger (web area)
« on: February 13, 2014, 01:52:17 PM »
Hi Musiclover

The BFST is great for all soft tissue injuries as it increases the supply of oxygen and nutrient rich blood, which repairs tissues, to the targeted and surrounding area. A proper diagnostic is required to know exactly what the cause of your daughter’s pain is. If it's a pinched nerve rather than soft tissue damage than it could be due to one or more tendons within the wrist that has become aggravated and inflamed putting pressure on the nearby nerve within the wrist tunnel (carpal tunnel) which can then cause pain in other areas along the nerve.  By removing the inflammation with the ColdCure and repairing the damaged tendon(s) or soft tissue with the BFST, your daughter can prevent the injury from becoming re-inflamed every time she uses her hand. As well as healing the underlying injury, the BFST also increases elasticity / flexibility for several hours following a treatment, which will allow your daughter to play badminton and the violin with greater ease and less discomfort.

I hope this helps!

Treatment Questions / Re: Frequency of Treatments
« on: January 27, 2014, 06:57:58 PM »
Hi Gary,

Depending on the age of your wrist injury Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy can help with your ligament laxity and consequent carpal bones separation. As a result of your wrist injury the ligaments have become stretched, it is very important to aid the recovery of these ligaments in the first 200 days of the injury as type 2 tissue will be forming and tightening the gap within the injury. If you refer to the page title 'Healing' on the King Brand website you will find information on the healing process of all soft tissue injuries. The BFST speeds up the recovery time of all soft tissue damage as it promotes the healing process with excess blood flow and oxygen and nutrients which are carried within the blood, if this healing is done within stage 3 of the healing process as outlined on the referred page than it will create tighter ligaments. If this injury is past stage 3 than unfortunately the ligaments will not tighten any further and surgery will be required. If surgery is the route chosen the BFST and ColdCure offer tremendous post-surgery benefits in relieving swelling and healing the soft tissues which have been operated on.

The BFST is completely safe, treatments can be performed consecutively one after another. However a 20 minute session with the BFST will increase blood flow for upwards of 4 hours, therefore we suggest spreading out sessions throughout the day to achieve constant stimulation.

I hope this has been helpful!

General Discussion / Re: Welcome To The King Brand Forum
« on: January 27, 2014, 05:30:04 PM »
Hey JoeSixPack31,

King Brand’s customers have had great success using the BFST and ColdCure products in treating both Meniscus tears and Osteoarthritis. There are many reviews on the testimonial page which can be found on the bottom link on the tab of the King Brand website.

Meniscus tears are commonly treated and healed with the combination of both BFST and ColdCure products. Using the ColdCure to reduce and prevent inflammation after the initial injury, or after any re-aggravations along the healing process, will allow the blood to flow bringing oxygen and nutrients to repair the damaged tissues. The BFST speeds up the healing process significantly by stimulating an increase in blood flow (nutrients and oxygen) to the targeted area! The BFST allows complete rest of the injury to prevent aggravations while ensuring the soft tissues are receiving everything they need.

The BFST and ColdCure will also be beneficial to your osteoarthritis as osteoarthritis is painful due to the swelling and inflammation which occurs around damaged joints. The ColdCure wrap is a quick and efficient way of relieving inflammation through both compression and cryotherapy. The BFST will relax the muscles through increased blood flow and elasticity to prevent an arthritic flare-up.

I hope this helps!

Hi Roadrunner,

Great question! Ultrasound machines and our BFST products do have the same intended outcome however they are very different in their approach. Ultrasound machines use sound waves which are constantly being compressed and decompressed at over 20,000 cycles a second to create vibration deep within soft tissue.  This vibration produces heat within the tissue drawing blood towards it to achieve the intended outcome of blood flow stimulation. This process is very strenuous, causing aggravation and inflammation on damaged tissues which should be at rest.

Our product, the BFST uses electromagnetic energy to gently stimulate blood flow in soft tissue. While recovering from an injury you want to follow the RCCE technique (Rest, Cold, Compression, Elevation), the ColdCure product gives you both cold therapy and compression therapy. Rest is an equally important aspect of your recovery, you need to avoid any forms of aggravation to allow the soft tissue to repair itself and to keep blood flowing by preventing inflammation from reoccurring. The BFST increases blood flow while you and your injured tissues are at rest.

Both the BFST and Ultrasound are designed to be used repeatedly and spread out, the BFST is not only safer and more effective it is also designed to be used easily in the comfort of your own home without the use of special gels and constant interaction.

I hope this helps!

Treatment Questions / Re: Cold Therapy/BFST for tennis elbow
« on: December 27, 2013, 12:05:11 AM »
Hi Stacy,

As long as your injury has not healed it is natural to be experiencing pain, this does not necessarily mean that you have inflammation. However the elbow is a body part that is really hard to avoid using and every time you re-aggravate an injury it causes inflammation. Signs of inflammation are stiffness, aching and often throbbing pain even while the body part is at rest.

As Adrienne was recommending, the ColdCure product is more of a reactionary tool for getting down the initial inflammation and any returning inflammation from future aggravations. This is a very important step in the recovery process because inflammation constricts blood flow and therefore hinders the effectiveness of the BFST. Inflammation is also a source of the pain associated with an injury, however it is not the only source of pain in an injury. Therefore you do not need to wait until all of your pain subsides before going on to use the BFST, just get that aching, throbbing pain caused by the inflammation down.

The best way for you to go about using these products is to get the swelling and inflammation down with the ColdCure, once this is achieved then use the BFST throughout the day to speed up the recovery process. You should also use the BFST right before any activity that involves your elbow, to create elasticity and prevent re-aggravation. If you do cause the swelling / inflammation to return than go back to the ColdCure until it subsides.

I hope this helps!

Questions & Answers About Our Products / Re: this verses tens unit
« on: December 09, 2013, 03:47:41 PM »
Hi kcbtyler,

TENS units use electrical currents in pulses to stimulate muscles and can cause nerves to have a reaction which blocks the transmission of pain signals. This pulsing stimulation causes muscles to tense up and release, which can aggravate an injury while what it really needs is rest. Our BFST product uses a soothing, low current electro-magnetic energy which stimulates blood flow without causing aggravation for upwards of 4 hours after a quick 20 minute session, they are not designed to mask or block the transmission of pain but to heal the underlying injury in a safe and comfortable manner.

Regards,

Kyle

Questions & Answers About Our Products / Re: Any efficacy research?
« on: December 04, 2013, 01:17:21 PM »
Hi WJ,

We try to avoid getting “tunnel vision” with regards to how the BFST works, the important thing is that it does work. Most Aspirin customers don’t care how it will cure their headache they just know it will, we find that we can use our time better if we focus on the end results and customer needs. You are right we don’t advertise the research behind the products as a lot of that is proprietary information, the closest thing on the website to what you are looking for is on the customer reviews page where people have confirmed that the products do work.
