General Discussion / Re: tightness in feet after night's sleep
« on: August 12, 2021, 01:51:29 PM »
Hi stevesolo,

Tightness in the bottom of your foot is definitely a common symptom with plantar fasciitis. You did mention that you have the BFST and ColdCure Back/Hip wraps, so you could actually use these products to aid with your plantar fasciitis pain! If you just place those larger wraps down on the floor, and put your foot on them, they should work very similarly; as long as you can feel that warmth from that BFST and the cold from the ColdCure, then the treatment is working just the same. We do actually have specific Foot versions of those Back/Hip wrap you already had, but I figured I would suggest possibly using the ones you already have.

Don't ever hesitate to give us a call if you have any other questions at: 844-400-2525

Thanks,

Treatment Questions / Re: Wait time between cold and BFST?
« on: August 08, 2021, 12:57:37 PM »
Hello and thank you for your question! Yes, it is recommended to wait about and hour after your last ColdCure treatment before following with a BFST treatment. This should be sufficient time for your skin to warm up enough between the cold and BFST treatments. We really just don't want you to be going from the cold to warm (BFST) to quickly as the treatments do counteract each other. If you feel that your skin is still very cold, even after an hour, just give it a little extra time to warm up before transitioning to the BFST treatments. Please feel free to give us a call at 844-400-2525 with any questions!

Thank you!
Sabrina

General Discussion / Re: Anterior and Posterior hip Labral Tear
« on: August 13, 2020, 03:19:53 PM »
Thank you for your interest in King Brand. Our products are designed to help speed up your natural healing process by first decreasing inflammation and then promoting blood flow.

The labrum is an awkward area to treat to begin with. Our products will get deep within and the BFST will help to heal the cartilage, but it takes longer than other soft tissues due to the absorption (diffusion) into the cartilage itself as there is no direct blood supply. See the link below for more information on treating a hip labral tear.

We recommend starting with the Back/Hip ColdCure Wrap. This wrap comes with 3 gel inserts that you will put in the freezer or fridge and then place inside the neoprene wrap before applying it to the body. The ColdCure treatments help to bring down pain, swelling, and inflammation by applying a cold compress. These treatments can be done in 20 minute intervals (20 minutes on, 20 minutes off, and 20 minutes back on) or you can put a little more time between treatments depending on how comfortable you are with the cold. You should do this for a few days and look for a reduction in inflammation and tenderness to the touch.

When inflammation and pain have gone down you can start the Back/Hip BFST Wrap treatments. The BFST Wrap simply improves the blood flow without causing any additional strain in the surrounding area. It uses electromagnetic energy to penetrate deep within the tissues and it is a similar technology to ultrasound. During treatments you should not be feeling a high heat like you would with a conventional heating pad.  One 20 minute treatment will improve blood flow for 3-4 hours after. We recommend that you start on level 1 and do the treatments 4 times a day to receive the best results. Once that warming sensation goes away on level one that is when you would move to level 2. The more BFST treatments you do, the less warming sensation you will feel. That is a good sign. As the warmth lessens from treatment to treatment, this means your circulation is improving.  Our BFST wraps come with a soft neoprene wrap that is secured to the body using velcro straps. When using the BFST Wrap it is best to apply it directly onto the skin because the effects of BFST will be lessened if there is a clothing barrier in between the Energy Web (component inside the wrap) and the body. Most people start to notice an improvement after about 3 weeks of BFST treatments.

When the body is at rest, blood flow circulation is impaired. When the body is moving, blood flow improves. You need to rest the affected area in order to avoid re-injury since physical activity during recovery can further strain your injury. But while at rest, you’re not getting the blood flow you need to heal. With BFST, you can rest and receive the additional blood flow your injury needs to heal.

Additional info on when to use ColdCure and BFST:
If you have been active and you may have strained your hip, that is NOT the time to do BFST. That is when you use ColdCure. Additionally, do a ColdCure treatment immediately after any significant physical activity. You may not have noticed it but there may be additional inflammation from re-injury. ColdCure treatments will attempt to minimize the damage.

There is no limit to how often or how many times you can use ColdCure. As long as you want more, use it more. You can keep swapping the extra gel packs from your freezer into the wrap as long as you like. The only restriction is to wait 30-45 minutes after your last ColdCure treatment before following with a BFST treatment. As well, after a BFST treatment, it is best to wait an additional hour before using ColdCure again unless you are feeling significant pain.

Combination Treatment. To learn how to combine your BFST & ColdCure
treatments most effectively, please visit http://www.kingbrand.com/Combination-Therapy.php

Another product to consider would be our KB Support Tape. The KB Support Tape is designed to be applied any time you want extra support and protection for your hip. The tape provides ongoing compression throughout the day, so you get swelling relief that's light, comfortable and doesn't restrict movement. The KB Support Tape also helps to prevent re-injury by providing damaged tissue with targeted support and protection. There is no need to remove KB Tape when giving ColdCure Treatments. The Cold will easily penetrate the tape. BFST can be moderately affected by KB Tape. If the tape is covering the target area, the effects of BFST will be lessened if there is significant tape in between the Energy Web and the body. If Tape just covers a small part of the affected treatment area it is not a concern.  See below some helpful links about taping.

Hello,

The BFST is designed to stimulate blood flow to heal soft tissue injuries of the tendons, muscles, and ligaments. The BFST will also help to heal cartilage, but it takes longer due to the absorption (diffusion) into the cartilage itself as there is no direct blood supply.

However, the BFST uses Electro Magnetic Energy to stimulate blood flow and does not pass through bone. That means it will not aid bone healing.

Kind regards,
King Brand

Questions & Answers About Our Products / Re: Wrist/Hand/Finger
« on: May 21, 2020, 09:54:25 AM »
Hello,

The BFST Wrist Wrap brings oxygen and nutrient-rich blood to the injured area of your wrist. This increase in blood flow works to actively heal your damaged tissues. Unfortunately, an injured wrist at rest usually has very limited blood flow. While physical activity promotes blood flow, it can also lead to re-injury and a worsened condition. With the BFST Wrist Wrap, blood flow can be stimulated in the injured area while you're at rest. With improved blood flow and without physical activity and the risk of re-injury, you can relieve your Wrist Pain at a surprisingly rapid rate.

When using the BFST all that is expected is a slight warming sensation.  From the Energy Web, it is a penetrating wavelength (electromagnetic energy) that stimulates blood flow within the soft tissues.  During treatments you should not be feeling a high heat like you would with a conventional heating pad.

The electromagnetic energy is localized to the area below the energy web. Generally speaking, it is best to treat the current point of pain. If the tendons in the wrist are still recovering it is important to treat them directly. If you are looking to target the point of injury, the hand/fingers, the wrist wrap can also be wrapped around the palm/finger area. The whole hand can benefit from increased blood flow to complete the healing process and prevent re-injury in the future.

Kind Regards,
King Brand

Thank you for your inquiry.  The details on the safety standards and being a Class II medical device can be found on our website for more details
http://kingbrand.com/Quality-Home.php?REF=34PV524

The tingling you may or may not feel is your own stimulated blood flow.  The wrap uses electro magnetic energy to promote circulation right through the targeted area.  If the area has been lacking good blood flow or has been inflamed, you may feel a tingling sensation.  The feeling is from the added blood flow, not the wrap.  Some people feel it and others don't.  You will always feel a slight warming sensation.  That warming with vary depending on the level of inflammation and your own conditioned circulation to the affected area.  As you become more conditioned and inflammation reduced, the warming sensation will come down.

I hope this information helps.  Feel free to contact us with any further questions.

Thank you for your interest in King Brand.  Sorry to hear what you are dealing with.  It seems to be a very awkward area to treat.

We would recommend the ColdCure and BFST Ankle wrap.  It is used most commonly for peroneal tendonitis and will go down the side of your foot.  If it doesn't quite reach all the way down, the wrap is maneuverable to flip around if you need to to reach the arch area.

All of our wraps are just sold with 1 wrap included.

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Customer Feedback / Re: Achilles BFST
« on: April 30, 2019, 11:24:09 AM »
I am sorry you had an issue with your products on more than one occasion.  Please call our treatment advisors at 1-844-400-2525 to discuss this issue further at your earliest convenience.

I am glad to hear that it has given you some relief and routine use is key in seeing that.  The BFST is much more than a just heat and there is a lot more going on than compared to a heating pad.  The wrap uses electro magnetic energy with a penetrating wavelength technology to stimulate the blood flow deep within the tissues.  Much more effective than simply heating the surface of the skin.  This, in turn draws blood flow up to the surface, away from the tissues making the healing and recovery process that much longer.

You are right, nothing should go wrong with it and to have two issues is quite a rare occurrence.  This could be an issue of a strain, twisted wires, maybe it was stored and creased too hard or maybe there was a loose connection.  These are electrical components and even with pre-testing there can be the event of a failure.  We strive to gain as much information of any reported fault to improve upon the product in the future.

With your overall investment with King Brand, we do thank you for your loyalty in purchasing multiple products and again apologize for the issues with the BFST Achilles wrap. We hope you are getting results from any other products received.  We do appreciate you reaching out and providing feedback.  This is how product development happens and we welcome any further comments or feedback in the future.

General Discussion / Re: slight buzzing sound?

It is just the power and energy going through the wraps.  More noticeable in the larger, higher powered webs compared to the smaller units.

Treatment Questions / Using your BFST over clothing
« on: April 12, 2019, 11:49:10 AM »
We get this question often.  Depending on what area you are treating and where you are doing your treatment, it may not be convenient to place the BFST directly on the skin.

While it is best to treat on the the skin you can do it over clothing if necessary.  It will reduce the effectiveness minimally but it is better than skipping a treatment all together.  Ensure it is not over any thick material such as wool socks for example.  A thin cotton pair would be best.

Wish you all the best in your treatment and feel free to reach our directly to customer service with any questions you may have.

Yes, the buzzing is normal in some of our energy webs.  Most common in the shoulder as it is a larger energy web as well as it is close to the ear so can be detected easier compared to our other wraps.

Upcoming Events / Re: Tape
« on: April 11, 2019, 02:02:45 PM »
The tape can be applied as often as needed.  When applied it can last for about 2 days.  Once it is removed, it is disposed of and cannot be reapplied.
Each roll comes with about 200" of tape.  This will last the average person about 15-20 applications depending on the area.

If you have any further questions, please let us know.
